Line of Service TaxIndustry/Sector Not ApplicableSpecialism Customs & International TradeManagement Level AssociateJob Description & Summary A career in our Customs and Trade Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.Our team helps organisations manage indirect tax implications that results in cash flow optimisation and risk reduction. You’ll help with structuring business transactions, developing efficient supply chain models, handling customs and indirect tax disputes, and implementing VAT for new to market organisations.Providing Comparison of Customs RegulationsResearching new regulations on the Ministry of Finance or other government websites.Attending a new regulation socialization through YouTube or Zoom and preparing a summary of the socialization.Researching previous regulations.Making a comparison report between former and current/prevailing regulations (i.e. depending on the year the case happened)Sending the report to the upper level to be reviewed.Providing Assistance during Customs Dispute CaseObjection:Assisting the senior or upper level during the preparation of the draft objection letter.Preparing the supporting documents based on the attachment list that has been provided by the upper level.Submit the objection letter along with the supporting documents to the Customs Office or through the website.Appeal:Rewriting Customs' response to the appeal letter.Assisting the senior or upper level during the preparation of the draft appeal letter.Preparing the supporting documents based on the attachment list that has been provided by the upper level.Submit the appeal letter to the Tax Court.Attend the Tax Court Hearing with the team and prepare Minutes of the Meeting.Rebuttal:Rewriting response on rebuttal letter based on response notes provided by upper level.Assisting the senior or upper level during the preparation of the draft rebuttal letter.Preparing the supporting documents based on the attachment list that has been provided by the Associate.Reporting to the upper level to be reviewed.Submit the rebuttal letter to the Tax Court.Judicial Review:Rewriting some points from the Tax Court Hearing Verdict.Assisting the senior or upper level during the preparation of the draft judicial review letter.Preparing the supporting documents based on the attachment list that has been provided by the Associate.Reporting to the upper level to be reviewed.Providing regulation and/or any related information for Customs AdviceResearching for any related regulation and information based on the case.Translating the regulation from Indonesia to English or English to Indonesia.Liaising with Customs Officers, Officers from relevant Ministries, or other relevant agencies to get comprehensive information about the regulation (if necessary).Reporting to the upper level to be reviewed.Assisting in Customs AuditMaking a recapitulation from PDF file to Excel to be calculated.Compiling several Excel data into one file according to the upper-level needs.Processing the client's data.Checking the appropriateness between payment invoices (on hard copy or soft copy provided by clients) with the payment list and General Ledger (GL).Checking the appropriateness between goods declared in the Import Declaration (PIB) with the client's Goods Receiving Notes.Checking the appropriateness between customs values declared in the PIB with the record and payment based on GL.Performing Certificate of Origin examination or check based on instruction from the upper level and other checks related to the customs audit.Reporting the result to the upper level to be reviewed.Assisting Customs Admin in FillingArranging filed documents into the box.Placing a document box in the located area.Bachelor degree from Accounting ,Taxation, Law, Computer Science, Information System or related with GPA minimum 3.00 (out of 4.00) and/or average B+ grade or High Distinction.Eyes for details.Have an eager to do research.Good team player and enjoy working collaboratively with people from variety of backgrounds.Good interpersonal and communication skill.Proficient level both in written and spoken English.Strong organisation experience is considered as advantage.Additional requirement for IT related background :Background and passionate in data analysis, programming, and how these can be used to create value to a client from the data analytics spectrum.Familiar/experienced in data structures and query language (SQL, ETL, SSIS).Experience in statistical packages (Excel, R, Python, SPSS, SAS) is a plus point.Some knowledge of finance, accounting, tax, ERP systems, although not essential.Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified) Degrees/Field of Study required:Degrees/Field of Study preferred: Bachelor Degree - Accounting and Taxation, Bachelor Degree - Computer Science, Bachelor Degree - LawCertifications (if blank, certifications not specified)Required SkillsOptional SkillsDesired Languages (If blank, desired languages not specified)Travel Requirements Up to 20%Available for Work Visa Sponsorship?
