Position Type ManagementHOTEL DESCRIPTIONTA’AKTANA, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo is located on a 3.4 HA site along the Wae Rana beach, with direct beach access and a jetty for island hopping trips. The hotel offers 68 rooms consisting of villas and suites with 6 Food & Beverage options. Guests can enjoy using the whirlpool and quiet pools, using the recreation activities center or the Luxury Collection spa facilities.
Labuan Bajo is located at the western end of Flores, one of the Lesser Sunda Islands in eastern Indonesia. It is the gateway to Komodo National Park, a UNESCO site that is home to Komodo dragons, Padar Island for hiking, as well as diving and snorkeling trips to see diverse marine life. The hotel is 9 minutes away from the Komodo International Airport and 10-15 minutes to cafes, restaurants, and diving schools within the town.JOB SUMMARYFunctions as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to both Marriott International and property ownership. Verifies implementation of service strategy and initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations, increased profit and market share. Holds property leadership team accountable for strategy execution, and guides their individual professional development. The position verifies that sales engines are leveraged and initiates independent and proactive sales activities, when appropriate, to generate demand. Verifies that the objectives and goals of Marriott and property owners work together to achieve brand positioning and success. Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results. The position is actively involved in the local community and builds strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers.CANDIDATE PROFILEThe ideal candidate for this role would have previous work experience in working as a General Manager in Indonesia and with luxury brand experience. Resort and pre-opening experiences highly preferred.Education and Experience
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years’ experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years’ experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
