Chief Risk Officer (Multifinance)

• Lead the development of a best-in-class operational risk management framework to ensure the robustness of operational processes. Understand the strategic priorities of the business and establish clear goals for the Risk department. Evaluate and set policies, underwriting standards, modeling metrics, portfolio management strategies, and operational risk standards.
• Cultivate strong relationships with the senior leadership team and other functional leaders to effectively execute risk strategy.
• Establish high-level strategic credit risk policies and goals aimed at maximizing profits and asset growth.
• Manage the risk appetite framework, incorporating economic impact and segment analysis. Develop the necessary data infrastructure, modeling, validation, and governance processes.
• Mitigate residual risk by forecasting future vehicle values and developing strategies for setting residuals.
• Monitor portfolio and underwriting quality through advanced statistical modeling and business analysis.
• Oversee the production of monthly loss forecasting, origination, and portfolio reporting.
• Set meeting agendas, oversee the preparation of materials, and facilitate Risk Control Committee (RCC) Meetings.
• Ensure compliance with global governance policies and prepare required reporting.
• Establish the necessary organizational structure, including confirming human resource requirements and supervising recruitment procedures.
• Review and amend risk policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate governance and operational processes related to risk.

• Demonstrated success in establishing and overseeing industry-leading risk functions within the financial services sector, particularly in auto-finance

• Extensive experience spearheading top-tier risk management systems, coupled with a deep understanding of rigorously disciplined business, financial, and risk management protocols. Previous involvement in managing risk within emerging markets and new business ventures.
