Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Legal Advisory & Leadership
  • Act as the principal legal advisor for the region, providing guidance on corporate, commercial, operational, and regulatory matters.
  • Partner with business leaders to align legal strategy with the company's growth objectives.
  • Commercial & Operational Oversight
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, supply agreements, procurement contracts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Support operational teams in ensuring legal compliance in day-to-day industrial operations, including manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Drive implementation of corporate governance and compliance programs across the region.
  • Ensure adherence to anti-bribery, anti-corruption, trade compliance, and health & safety regulations.
  • Establish and monitor compliance frameworks, policies, and training programs for regional teams.
  • Risk Management & Dispute Resolution
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks that could impact business performance.
  • Manage dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation matters, working with external counsel as required.
  • Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
  • Liaise with government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies to safeguard the company's legal and commercial interests.
  • Represent the company in high-level negotiations with strategic partners and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small but high-performing legal team, ensuring efficiency and excellence in legal service delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative and solution-oriented culture within the team and across the business.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law from a reputable university; Master's Degree or compliance-related certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive legal experience, with at least 8 years in a senior regional leadership role within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, energy, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing both commercial transactions and operational legal matters.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and multi-jurisdictional regulations in Asia-Pacific.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead lean, high-performing teams.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (additional regional languages a plus).
