This is a great opportunity for the HSE Manager to redevelop group systems and processes. Your main responsibility will be to coordinate and implement the safety and sustainability programs in compliance with the local law and regulations and corporate requirements.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop water, energy, sustainability vision and master plan for the plant site
- Build a roadmap for water management based on project pipeline and associated capex plan for water reduction, and replenish project to drive water regeneration and meeting AWS (Alliance for Water Stewardship) principles
- Actively contribute, provide subject matter expertise to the global environment network to develop and implement local and global policies and CPS guidelines related to the environment
- Provide engineering design and maintenance input and support for all facility process to ensure that they are sustainable by design
- Strategise capex investment by proposing the right investments to support metrics achievement and roadmap in both safety and sustainability area and being part of submission, manage budget, recommend cost savings and proactively negotiate with vendors
- Lead environment/sustainability management programme to align with company direction, includes general and hazardous waste management, process water and wastewater treatment, energy management and pollution prevention
- Develop emergency and incident management plans, training and coordinate with onsite management and offsite emergency services and exercises
- Advise senior management on strategies for facility fire prevention and protection to ensure compliance with corporate and insurance requirements and to minimise financial loss of assets due to fires
- Lead monthly safety committee meeting (P2K3)
- Lead safety risk assessment program and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure risk assessments are conducted and reviewed, and required actions are identified and implemented to mitigate risks
- Build a strong safety culture starting with leadership team, general manager, and frontline leaders
- Ensure development and on-going monitoring of EHS metrics along with key programs and plans to achieve those targets
- Track and monitor of water, energy use, and waste generation, and work with stakeholders to initiate improvement projects to meet company sustainability goal (source vulnerability assessment, carbon net zero vision, solar project, etc.)
- Analyse EHS metrics and perform corrective and preventive actions if required
- Coordinate with experts to perform assessments to support the safety programme (e.g. rack inspections, ergonomic assessment, etc.)
- Manage plant legal licenses and permits related with EHS to ensure they are up to date
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance to the applicable legal licenses and permits. Work with stakeholders to address non-conformance where needed
- Liaise with authorities/expertise/consultant in relevant inspections, investigations, new requirement, license renewal and other related matters
- Plan and conduct EHS training (EHS awareness, fire safety, emergency response, etc.) to plant associates, contractors and visitors to ensure understanding of the site requirement for their safety and well-being
- Liaise with stakeholders and/or external training provider on other mandatory training to ensure compliance to local regulations and company requirement (CERT refresher, HAZMAT, WAH, etc.)
- Initiate sharing and communication of key EHS learnings and reminders to all associates
- Organise and conduct campaigns to raise environment, health and safety awareness among associates
- Bachelor's/master's degree, in occupational health and safety/environmental or a relevant technical area
- Minimum of seven years' safety/environmental experience. Experience in managing teams and workplace safety is preferred
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Project management knowledge and experience
- Knowledge in ISO Quality Systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001), GMP, food manufacturing compliance and regulatory requirements
- License in K3 or Water Stewardship programme (AWS standard) is a plus
- Strong digital literacy in SAP, Microsoft, Power BI, Power Automate
- Sharp analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
