The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall production operations and maintenance department in ASCIS in a profitable and efficient manner through proper utilization of assigned manpower, materials, equipment, and space. The incumbent is also responsible for coordinating all activities within his scope of control and setting priorities necessary to accomplish predetermined goals.Job ResponsibilitiesProductivity:
  • Setting productivity goals and targets for Operations, based on Operations+ Output Measure, In Process Measure, and Health Check
  • Implementing process improvements and lean methodologies (Continuous Improvement) to optimize productivity savings /waste savings / other EBIT savings
  • Implement manufacturing strategies to manage and increase effectiveness and efficiency of production processes and equipment thru Operations+ methodology (Pillars)
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output and efficiency, thru Line DDS, FU DDS, Weekly DDS, and Monthly O+ review. Including prepare MMR/MORR to be submitted monthly to Management Team
  • Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in workflows and implementing solutions to enhance productivity
  • Contribute to short and long term manufacturing and production strategies as a member of the management team.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with the regional and/or global, support functions, suppliers to manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of production operation.
  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies for better management reporting, information flow, business process and organizational planning.
  • Develop & drive toward effective maintenance program to ensure all machine & equipment are performing well to support production operations.
Quality:
  • Establishing and enforcing quality standards and procedures implemented in Operations daily process
  • Conducting regular quality BOS and shopfloor gemba/audit to ensure compliance and fulfil 100% quality standard released by customers
  • Develop and implement quality-control programmes on the line for improved and consisten products manufacturing process and quality standards.
  • Implementing quality control measures to minimize defects and rework.
  • Collaborating with other departments such as Quality Assurance and PD to continuously improve first time right behaviour, product quality, raw material quality, and compliance to Regulatory and customers
Cost:
  • Developing and managing budgets for operations and projects.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support Procument on contracts review with suppliers and vendors to achieve cost efficiencies, process effectiveness, and successful turn key project execution
  • Analyzing financial data and performance metrics to identify areas for cost optimization (%AV improvement, OPEX & CAPEX control, process arrangement, people resource management, etc.)
  • Review man power budget allocation for Production and Maintenance to optimize Direct/Indirect labor cost refer to Monthly production budget
Delivery:
  • Provide support to region level in formulating solutions, by active participation and involvement in project management for program rolled out for Asia
  • Overseeing production scheduling and ensuring timely delivery of products
  • Monitoring inventory levels and supply chain processes to minimize lead times.
  • Addressing any issues or delays in production
  • Collaborating with logistics to support material handling process, in bound - out bound, good receive for tooling/equipment/machines/system
Safety:
  • Implementing and enforcing environment, health, and safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment based on Amcor Safety Rule, Country EHS standard and protocols, and other mandatory EHS compliance
  • Conducting regular safety champion sessions and 6s shopfloor observation
  • Investigating accidents or incidents and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards set by regulatory authorities.
Morale:

  • Providing leadership and support to employees, and promoting open communication.
  • Recognizing and rewarding high performance and achievements.
  • Addressing employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.

  • Ensure alignment with regional plans and goals on strategic plans to drive consistencies and best practices onsite and achieve sustainability.
Qualifications
  • Degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • Possess minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience with proven management skills.
  • Demonstrated sound operations skills to drive for continuous improvement, cost down, manufacturing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of broad manufacturing and production management.
  • Excellent communication skills, high integrity, effective team leader and good organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing multi-national teams, cross-functional projects and a strong ability to lead others without direct authority.
  • Possess strong change management skills.
  • Good communication skills to lead, manage and drive projects and people to achieve organization goals.
  • Avanced training/experience in the use of manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Familiar and hands-on in using MS Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint, Lotus Notes E-mail.
