- Execute regulatory strategy, managing product claims throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and implement strategies ensuring regulatory compliance for local, export, and import products.
- Oversee the regulatory approval process for products requiring local governmental approval.
- Review company practices, provide compliance advice, and implement changes as needed.
- Stay informed on all food regulations and potential changes, providing intelligence on regulatory settings.
- Manage product certification and registration processes (BPOM, Halal, SNI).
- Ensure compliance with label and artwork requirements, including reviewing ingredient lists and claims substantiation.
- Keep internal stakeholders updated on new regulations and information relevant to the business.
- Stay aware of evolving regulatory requirements, trends, and developments, informing project teams and senior management of changes.
- Anticipate and address potential regulatory issues affecting product categories or company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance for export and import products.
- Engage with influential third parties such as Regulatory Bodies, Experts, and Academia.
- Represent the company in associations and committees, advocating for the interests of the company, especially on "hot topics."
- Act as the point person for product-related audits, inspections, and other regulatory challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Pharmacy, or a related discipline. Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven regulatory affairs and compliance experience in the Food & Beverage industry, with a minimum of 8 years, preferably in an international environment.
- Familiarity with Indonesia's food registration procedures and regulatory aspects.
- Good understanding of the commercial drivers in the F&B industry, providing advice that aligns with business objectives.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of defining issues and questions.
- Proficiency in project management, problem-solving, effective presentation, time management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, balancing commercial needs with compliance requirements.
- Strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving for resolution of regulatory issues.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in department processes and performance.
- Strong team player, assisting others during workload peaks and managing challenging situations.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive and proactive communication style, fostering excellent working relations with external customers, including BPOM and Industry Associations.
- Strong team player, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
