- Conduct comprehensive studies to assess the environmental impacts of water use and infrastructure
- Develop testing and monitoring programs, as well as hydrogeological and hydrological models
- Implement continuous improvement practices in water management
- Create sound plans for water management systems to support mine feasibility studies and infrastructure layout plans
- Analyse and interpret data to make informed decisions regarding water management and infrastructure
- Work collaboratively with various teams including consultants, contractors, and database teams
- Ensure constant liaison with the environmental team regarding surface water and water quantity and quality monitoring
- Carry out field investigations for these studies, including hydrological and hydrogeological mapping, piezometer installation, aquifer tests, and supervise all surface water monitoring and measurement installations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology-Hydrogeology, Mining or Civil Engineering (Water Infrastructure)
- Minimum 8 years experience in a related position
- Familiarity with government regulations and technical requirements permitting for river diversion, Dam and Tailing Storage Facilities (TSF) concept
- Experience working in a mine or feasibility study project of mineralization systems as a Hydrogeologist
- Strong knowledge of hydrological and hydrogeological modelling in GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, FeFlow, Visual Modflow
- Good understanding of aquifer tests for hydrogeological properties, rainfall analysis, estimate water balance, dewatering program
