- Provide practical and solution-oriented legal advice across business areas, including commercial, product counseling, employment law, IP, regulatory, data privacy, and disputes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Ops, Compliance, People, Finance, etc) to identify and manage legal risks while enabling business goals.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements and internal documentation.
- Lead and improve internal legal processes, including contract management, compliance systems, and SOPs.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal team members, manage external counsel, and ensure high-quality legal work.
- Proactively monitor regulatory developments and assess their business impact.
- Support leadership with strategic legal input on product launches, partnerships, regulatory matters, and risk mitigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
- Experienced legal professional with a background in both law firm and in-house corporate roles (startup or fintech experience is a plus).
- Capable of managing a wide range of legal matters, from day-to-day operations to high-level strategic issues
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business priorities.
- Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders and providing guidance across different levels of the organization
- Comfortable taking initiative and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced and evolving environments
- Effective in communicating clearly and building alignment across cross-functional teams
