- Well performance, completion designs, integration of drilling and subsurface, wellbore clean-up, testing and commissioning plans, well integrity.
- Mature both projects & well proposals through the stage gate process, with end-to-end oversight from initiation through to production.
- Identify, oversee & lead both in-house and 3rd party studies, framing key decisions and building stakeholder alignment as appropriate.
- Providing valuable advice to the organization, framing decisions and acting as an opportunity manager for key well scopes.
- Ensure all processes are carried out in line with company policies, procedures and regulations and international standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions or activities, dangerous occurrences or injury in the workplace.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering disciplines.
- 15+ years of both project phase & operational experience within the Upstream oil & gas industry as a Petroleum Engineer.
- Experience of Development & Start-up in Deepwater, subsea environment.
- Experience of development of gas-condensate reservoirs.
- Strong Detailed Design and Execution experience with respect to drilling & well completions.
- Ability to integrate with other disciplines (D&C, reservoir engineering, geoscience).
- Process owner; deep knowledge of organizational systems and assurance.
- Track record building & leading teams
- Experience interfacing and managing service providers, defining & leading work scopes
- Purposeful leader, able to both conduct technical work & lead others.
- Fluent in wellbore cleanup, well testing, & well performance diagnosis.
- Well test design & experience of offshore leadership.
- Drilling, including knowledge of drilling & completion fluids
- Fluent in well operating envelopes and matters of well integrity.
- Ability to perform Integrated Production System modelling
- Strong leadership & team management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance.
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills (verbal & written).
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in complex project & operational environments.
- Strong commitment in high standard of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in offshore projects.
- Strong inter-personal, communication and presentation skills, able to work in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability mentor and coach junior staff.
