- Familiarization with all company and project specific Medical terms, requirements and project deliverables.
- Identification of applicable regulatory requirements specific to the scope of work including monitoring compliance.
- Ensuring Medical plans, procedures and instructions are developed and implemented
- Identification and assignment of appropriate Medical resources and development
- Facilitation of project HAZID's and other risk reviews
- Preparation and maintenance of Project Risk Register and Corrective Action Tracking
- Medical Prequalification of project subcontractors and vendors as applicable
- Preparation of project Medical audit plans and conducting of audits
- Conducting reviews and audits of vessels, facilities or projects
- Preparation and maintenance of Project Medical Activity Plans
- Preparation of Medical performance reports and submission of same to HSES Functional Lead
- Initiation of Medical training needs analysis and coordination of implementation
- Provide SME support to company QHSES training department to include development and delivery
- Developing and overseeing plans to meet project Objectives, Targets and Goals aligned to the Area
- Leading or participating as SME in Incident Investigations and reporting
- Providing Medical input into look ahead plans and reports based on project schedule
- Providing Medical input to MOC's and Lessons Learned
- Review/Approve subcontractors and vendors for equipment and services
- Conduct regular site or facility Medical reviews
- Attend and provide input to forums such as kick off meetings, constructability reviews, readiness reviews, etc.
- Other duties connected with the HSES function, as directed by Senior Manager, HSE
- Manage Emergency case and Minor Medical Procedures
- Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct Patient Consultations, Examinations, Diagnosis and Treatment
- Manage Preventive Care and Health Promotion
- Perform medical Check up to assess the fitness for work for specific roles.
- Design and implement health surveillance programs for employees exposed to specific occupational hazards.
- Engage in health promotion activities to improve employee well-being and prevent work-related health issues.
- Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader.
- Have wide experience with technical activities, including onshore and offshore operations.
- Maintain key competencies associated with the Medical function
- Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
- Be conversant with local and international Medical laws, codes, regulations and norms.
- 5 + years within the Energy Industry through all phases of EPCI project delivery
- Diploma or equivalent certification
- Functional, business, and industry knowledge.
- Professional Membership of relevant institutions - QHSES
- General Practitioner, who possess a valid STR
- Minimum 4 years medical experience
- Having emergency room or ICU experience is a must.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Quality services oriented, with mature and pleasant personality.
- Working experience in Oil and Gas or Fabrication and Training/Course abroad is an advantage.
- Master degree in occupational health is an advantage.
- Valid ATLS, ACLS, and Hiperkes certification is a must.
