This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value service contracts for a major project within the energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, administering, and renegotiating contracts as necessary, serving as the primary liaison with contractors and ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of contract management, sourcing, and procurement within the energy sector.

What you'll do:As a Senior Contract Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the procurement delivery of complex construction projects. You will be entrusted with formulating, negotiating, establishing, and administering intricate contractual arrangements. Your expertise will be crucial in liaising with contracting principals to ensure compliance with contract specifications. You will also be responsible for evaluating contractor performance and analysing price proposals to ensure cost efficiency. Your input will be vital in shaping contracting policies and strategies.

Support end-to-end procurement delivery of complex, fast-paced construction projects
Formulate, negotiate, establish, and administer complex contractual arrangements and procurement proposals for a range of products and services for the project
Provide independent liaison and coordination with contracting principals to ensure compliance with contract specifications and resolution of problems and issues as they arise
Evaluate contractor performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations
Analyse price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices; review and interpret contract provisions to achieve cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible
Assess contractor service value and product/service reliability relative to cost; plan, organise, and coordinate acquisition alternatives as appropriate
Participate in the formulation, development, implementation, and revision of contracting policies, procedures, and strategies for the unit as appropriate

What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Senior Contract Analyst role will bring a wealth of experience in contracting and procurement within the energy sector. You will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and more than seven years of experience in the industry. Your strong communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential for liaising with various stakeholders. Your familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and SAP system will be beneficial in this role. Your in-depth knowledge of sourcing and contracting processes, coupled with your practical application experience in contract drafting, assurance, review, and close out, will set you apart.

Minimum bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Supply Chain Management/Business Administration or equivalent experience
More than 7 years of working experience in Contracting and Procurement in the energy sector (preferably from mining exploration projects or oil & gas industry)
Certification of project management is a plus
English capability is essential in written and verbal communication
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP system
In-depth knowledge of Sourcing and contracting processes with practical application experience in contract drafting, contract assurance, contract review and contract close out
