What you'll do:As the Human Resources & General Affairs Director, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the overall business plan through effective HR strategy implementation. You will be responsible for developing organisational strategies by identifying HR issues while also implementing these strategies through various responsibilities such as talent acquisition, staffing, compensation planning among others. Your role will also involve supporting management through valuable HR advice based on thorough analysis. You will guide both management and employees by developing policies that reflect the organisation's values. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to enhance the department's reputation by taking ownership of new tasks while also establishing an effective in-house training system.
  • Develop organisational strategies by identifying human resources issues and recommending strategic thinking and direction
  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountability, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and retention
  • Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel and decisions, analysing information and applications
  • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing and updating policies and guidelines, communicating and enforcing organisation values
  • Enhance department and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation, management development, the measurement of training impact and training transfer
What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Human Resources & General Affairs Director position brings a wealth of experience in HR leadership roles. With at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in HR positions under your belt, you are well-versed in serving as a key participant on an executive management team. Your broad knowledge and experience in employment law, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations, and training and development will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, your excellent organisational skills will enable you to manage various tasks efficiently.
  • Minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience in human resources positions
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations and training and development
  • Excellent organisational skills
