You will work with an award-winning company, certified as a Great Place to Work.Position OverviewThe Food & Beverage Kitchen / Culinary Intern is responsible for supporting the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences that align with the highest service and quality standards. This role involves learning and executing daily kitchen operations while understanding the brand and culinary philosophy to enhance guest satisfaction. The intern will receive hands-on training in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management while collaborating closely with colleagues from various departments, including direct engagement with leadership teams and stakeholders.The Role
  • Quality & Consistency: Prepare high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and execution, following Capella Ubud's Standards of Performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Perform all assigned tasks efficiently and uphold the culinary standards set by the hotel.
  • Departmental Flexibility: Adapt to rotations within different Kitchen Division sub-departments or other hotel departments as needed to gain a well-rounded experience.
  • Hotel Knowledge: Be fully familiar with all services, facilities, and culinary offerings of the hotel to support guest satisfaction.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Recipe & Portion Adherence: Follow standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and plating specifications as directed by the Chef.
  • Sanitation & Storage Management: Assist with kitchen cleanliness, proper sanitation, and the organization of walk-in chillers and storage areas.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all fire, hygiene, health, and safety policies to ensure a secure and professional working environment.
Talent Profile:
  • An active student that enrolled in a College or University preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or equivalent program
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations
  • Basic command in spoken and written English.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Possess a great communication skill
  • Good conflict resolution skills with decision making and judgmental skills
  • Flexible regarding work schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, and Power Point
